Since we were already fully embedded in Hydro Flask’s brand strategy, creative development, and seasonal marketing initiative planning, it made perfect sense for them to also task us with orchestrating and guiding their brand shoot for the upcoming year. From creative concepting to planning to production and post, we harnessed our acute knowledge of their brand and upcoming initiatives—including two new product category launches—to laser-focus and capture a year’s worth of still and video imagery to support multiple brand marketing projects.
In late April, a crew of ten—including three team members from Hammerquist Studios—descended on the highlands of Sonoma County and the dramatic coast near Point Reyes, California. Our senior art director provided effective guidance to renowned commercial/editorial photographer Ty Milford allowing for efficient usage of time, product, and resources on a road-trip themed shoot. Our crack production team spent all hours of the day running oversight on production, budget, and logistics. Our fifth brand shoot for Hydro Flask ended up being one of the most successful to date. Thus far, the images captured have been used extensively in Hydro Flask’s email campaign, for homepage banners, and skins on the brand’s sponsored Pandora radio station—and are on tap to be utilized widely in two highly anticipated new product launches.
